False Autumn

Why False you ask? Well... This is the beauty of photography as fine art🎨. It's not always just snapping a shot of what you see and posting it. That does happen from time to time of course and I appreciate it and utilize it in my own work, but most of the time there is editing involved to create the artist's image. The base photo (especially when shooting RAW) is like a canvas with only the first layers of paint or base sketches. Much like painting it sometimes takes many hours to layer light and color and shadow to create the final art piece.

My particular type of landscape photography follows a concept known as Paracosm - The creation of a detailed fantasy world - In this fantasy world our own world is transformed into something I see within my mind's eye.

This photo was actually taken in the Spring and through color layer manipulation I created a very Autumn type look and feel. This is a very simplistic example, but a good one.

Creation stems from the mind's eye, in intuition, fantasy, paracosm, feelings, and sometimes simply beauty for beauties sake. Our world is beautiful to capture as it is, and I do often do this, but I also believe that we each see something different. This is how I see the world.

How do you see the world?
