I Alone
Today I felt myself
Release from the shadows of my past
And become a beacon in a field of emptiness
I alone am the slayer of my darkness
I alone am the bringer of light within
Time has brought me here with memory
My entire life until this breath has been
A rehearsal for the moments I live now
With courage in my soul
And love within my heart
I have so much to give and I am ready
To be whole for another
For I have all I need to be me
This path has been long
With much doubt and worry
That I would never be enough
But I am, I know I am
I alone am enough
I felt compelled to write this today for those who may not feel like they are enough. You ARE enough and you alone are the creator of your best self. Life is no easy path and at times it can feel like it's not worth it, but I promise, it is.
